Just a designer turned tattoo artist and back again.
I started in the design world in 2015. I made a rookie mistake pretty early on. Blame it on youthful ignorance. I passed on a full time job at a branding agency that I really enjoyed working at for what I thought was a better deal. Hint: it wasn't.
Fast forward through years of different titles just chasing that initial agency high, I hit a roadblock. Burnout was my middle name. I felt like I was trapped in an Adobe prison. Where creativity didn't exist. Only knowledge of the program did. So what did I do? Got myself an apprenticeship and became a tattoo artist. And a good one. But while everyone around me worked grueling hours, killed their backs, and still ended the day excited about going home and drawing for their appointments the next day, I started realizing that I didn't feel that way about tattooing. I didn't feel that way about anything. Except design. More specifically...branding.
So here I am. Living the dream. Spreading the love. And helping others ignite the same fire within themselves for their own business.
A heartfelt shoutout to those who believed in me before I was anything in this field. Alex George. Ed Kahler. Rick Holberg. And Melissa Weiler. You saw something in me before I even knew what it was. Your words of wisdom, support, and golden opportunities have help shaped me. Can never thank you enough.
